Delete your data
You can remove what Selleena AI holds about you at any time, and you do not need to explain why. Most of it you can delete yourself in two clicks; the rest we do for you within 30 days. This page says which route removes what.
Last updated Request by email: support@selleena.com
1. Which request is mine?
- I connected my shop’s Facebook Page
- Disconnect the Page — removes the access token and the link immediately.
- I signed in with Google or Facebook
- Unlink the sign-in — removes the provider id, name and email we stored for that shortcut.
- I want one customer’s messages gone
- Ask us — we delete the conversation, its messages and the customer record.
- I want everything gone
- Close the account — erases the shop, catalogue, conversations and every sign-in link.
- Someone messaged a shop and wants their data gone
- See section 6 — the shop controls that data, and we act on its instruction.
2. Disconnect a Facebook Page
This is the route for a shop that has finished with the assistant, or wants to revoke our access to its Page.
-
Open Settings → Channels
Sign in to Selleena AI and go to Settings, then the Channels section, where the connected Page is listed.
-
Press “Disconnect”
The confirmation removes the Page link immediately. No waiting period and no support ticket.
-
Check the Page is gone
Reload the page. If the Page still appears, the request did not reach us — repeat it, or email us and we will remove it by hand.
What is deleted: the connection itself — the Page id and name, the encrypted Page access token, the granted scopes, the linked Instagram account, and the webhook subscription state. Our ability to read or send messages on that Page ends at that moment.
What is not deleted: the conversations already received stay in your workspace until you delete them or close the account (see section 4). They are your shop’s records, so we do not discard them behind your back.
3. Unlink a Google or Facebook sign-in
If you used “Continue with Google” or “Continue with Facebook”, the shortcut lives in Settings → Your account → Shortcuts.
-
Settings → Your account → Shortcuts
Each connected provider is listed with the email it exposes and the last time it was used.
-
Disconnect the provider
This deletes the stored link: the provider’s user id, the email and name from that profile, and the last sign-in time.
-
Keep a way in
Make sure you know your password before unlinking your only shortcut, otherwise you will need a password reset to get back in.
Unlinking the shortcut does not delete your Selleena account — use section 5 for that. If unlinking was the only thing you wanted, you are done.
4. Erase one customer conversation
One thread can be removed without touching the rest of the workspace. The inbox does not have a delete button yet, so this one goes through us:
- Write to support@selleena.com with your shop name and enough detail to find the thread — the customer’s name and roughly when they wrote. Do not send us the message content itself.
- We delete the conversation, every message in it, the customer record built from it, and any delivery address or phone number attached to that record. Other conversations are untouched.
- If you want the whole history gone rather than one thread, closing the account (section 5) is the shorter route.
We complete these requests within 30 days, usually within a few working days, and confirm in writing when it is done.
5. Close the whole account
This erases everything we hold for your shop. It is not reversible, so export anything you need first — the catalogue exports as CSV from the Products screen.
-
Send the request from the account’s email
Email support@selleena.com with the subject “Delete my Selleena account”. Writing from the address on the account is how we confirm it is you; we may ask one further question if the account has several team members.
-
We confirm within 30 days
Normally much sooner. You get a written confirmation with the date the erasure was completed.
-
Disconnect the Page in Facebook too
Removing the app in Facebook stops it asking us for access again. See section 7.
What is deleted:
- Your user account, name, email address and hashed password;
- Every sign-in link — Google and Facebook ids, names, emails and sign-in times;
- The shop profile and all assistant settings;
- The product catalogue and imported feeds;
- Every conversation, message, customer record, delivery address and phone number;
- The Facebook/Instagram connection and its encrypted token;
- Marketing briefs, insights and reply instructions.
What is not deleted: records we are legally required to keep, and the rolling server logs described in section 8.
6. I am a customer, not a shop
If you messaged a shop and want that conversation deleted, the shop is the controller of it — we hold it only on the shop’s behalf. The fastest route is to ask the shop directly.
You can also write to support@selleena.com with the shop’s name and the channel you used. We will pass the request to the shop, delete anything we hold for you, and tell you what was removed. We will not ask you to prove your identity with documents — matching the conversation is enough.
7. Deleting from Facebook itself
Facebook keeps its own record of your use of the app, which we cannot delete for you. Remove it there:
- Open Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Go to Apps and websites.
- Find Selleena AI, select it, and choose Remove.
- To have Facebook forward the deletion to us as well, choose Send request when it is offered — that reaches our deletion callback and we remove the matching sign-in link.
The same idea applies to Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions lists the apps with access to your Google account.
8. What can remain, and why
We would rather say this plainly than promise a clean sweep we cannot deliver:
- Backups. Encrypted backups rotate out within 30 days of a deletion. They are never restored except after a disaster, and a restore is followed by re-applying the deletion.
- Server logs. IP address, time and request path, kept for a short rolling window for security and debugging. They are not used to build a profile.
- Records the law requires. If accounting or tax rules oblige us to keep a record of a transaction, we keep the minimum for the required period and nothing else.
- Messages already delivered. A message that reached a customer’s Facebook inbox lives in their account; only they, or Meta, can remove it.
9. Confirmation and timeline
- Disconnect a Page
- Immediate, in Settings → Channels.
- Unlink a sign-in
- Immediate, in Settings → Your account → Shortcuts.
- One conversation
- By email request; completed within 30 days, usually sooner.
- Whole account
- Within 30 days of the request; confirmed in writing.
- Backups
- Rotate out within 30 days after the deletion.
When a deletion arrives through Facebook’s own “send request” flow, we answer with a confirmation code and a link back to this page. Keep the code: quote it in any follow-up and we can find your request without asking you to repeat the details.
10. If something is wrong
If a request has gone unanswered, or data you asked us to delete is still visible, write to support@selleena.com with the confirmation code if you have one. We treat an unanswered deletion request as an incident, not as a support ticket, and we will tell you what went wrong.
You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. Details of what we hold are in the privacy policy, and the rules for using the service are in the terms of use.
